Parish Centre Fundraising Project

A Message from the Fundraising Chair:

Thanks be to God, building of the parish centre- school gym has been progressing smoothly!

Every time I walk past the site of our parish centre-school gym, my heart soars as I witness that construction is now near completion.

We at St. Anthony’s are indeed blessed with a parish bursting with activities. One evening this Fall, the school hosted a parent talk in its library, with parents overflowing into every classroom; there was Faith Studies in the church hall and one of the classrooms, and a PREP class taking place at the same time - practically every inch of space was utilized.

In addition, volunteers and ministry leaders are constantly in need of work and meeting space. We can’t wait for completion of the parish centre-school gym, when we can have the much-needed extra classrooms and meeting space, not to mention a proper space for our children’s physical activities.

As our faith community continues to grow, it is important to be mindful that even though construction of the physical structure is nearing the finish line, we continue to need your help more than ever, both financially and in prayer: once construction is finished, we will have to meet our mortgage payments every month.

But our vision is clear: we want to make Jesus the centre of our lives. The missional work of our faith community must not be compromised - activities like the school’s regular parent talk, and programmes like Faith Studies, Alpha, and Faith Formation must continue to form us and will always be our priority.

It has taken a long time to finally see our dream of a parish centre come true. We believe in this community building, and we appreciate that year after year, you come forward and pledge your support and commitment to our future.

We do not take your contribution for granted, and we thank you all for investing in the future of St. Anthony of Padua. With every dollar you give, think of all the future parishioners young and old, all our future school children, and all the converts who will be received into the Church in the coming years.
