* $10 Registration fee includes reading materials, scapular, Miraculous Medal and a rose for Consecration Day.

About Marian Consecration

Since 2017, St. Anthony of Padua has offered a 33-day preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary based on the 18th century consecration by St Louis de Montfort, who called it "the most perfect of all devotions" because "it conforms, unites and consecrates us most perfectly to Jesus Christ". The heart of this consecration is known as "Totus Tuus" or Totally Yours: the desire to completely belong to Jesus by entrusting ourselves completely to Mary, who is “the safest, easiest, shortest and most perfect way" to Him. This consecration was considered by St John Paul II to be the decisive-turning point in his life, and he renewed it annually from the age of 18 to his death at age 85, becoming one of the greatest saints in Church history.  

 The following consecration programs have been offered at the parish: 33 Days to Morning Glory, by Fr. Michael Gaitley; Total Consecration to Mary through the Mysteries of the Rosary, by Fr. Ed Broom; and Totus Tuus: A Consecration to Jesus through Mary with St. John Paul II, by Fr. Brian McMaster. A program is typically offered once a year for 5 weeks, ending with consecration on December 8^th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Re-consecration is recommended annually by St Louis, and all parishioners are encouraged to participate in Consecration to Mary in conjunction with other programs such as Faith Studies and ALPHA, on their path to discipleship and holiness.
