Catholic Women's League

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL) is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through services to the people of God. CWL members contribute to the life and vitality of the church, family and community, both at home and abroad. They also support the efforts of League members across Canada who diligently work to promote the teachings of the Catholic church. Our motto “For God and Canada” guides us in our cause. Members often support the work of the parish and her ministries through organized bake sales and other fundraising initiatives.

To become a CWL member at St Anthony, start by calling the Parish office for a contact person. Plan to attend one of our meetings, generally held on the first Saturday of the month at 10:00 am or drop by our Sunday Coffee and Bake Sale (after Mass on first Sundays) and chat with our members.

Events

100 Strong Parish Retreat

This year, we celebrate 100 years strong as a parish — and we’re looking ahead to the next 100, giving 100% to God! To mark this milestone, the Catholic Women's League of Canada at St. Anthony of Padua Parish Council will be hosting a very special parish retreat on Saturday, September 13th, from 9:00 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM right here at St. Anthony’s.

Our guest speaker, Jean-Paul de Fleuriot, founder of Faith Room, will lead us in “100 Strong” — a day to be renewed in our faith, fed in Adoration, and united as one parish family.

The cost is just $10, with lunch and refreshments included. Space is limited, so please sign up at the back of the church. You can also register by sending us an email at cwlpresap@gmail.com to register. Payment can also be made via e-transfer using 2025SAPRetreat as the password.
